Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

We believe legalese should be easy to read — not a wall of impenetrable words from lawyers that nobody reads. So here are our terms, in plain English.

What this service is

Tidy Go Links lets you create short links (like go/vacation) that redirect to longer URLs. It's free and open source.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. Use your real work email. Don't share your login with others — each person should have their own account.

What you can do

Create go links for your team. Use them for legitimate work purposes. Be a good human.

What you can't do

Don't use go links for anything illegal, harmful, or spammy. Don't create links to phishing pages, malware, or anything that would make your IT department cry. Don't try to break the service or access other people's accounts.

Your data

You own your links. We store the data needed to make the service work (your email, your links, click counts). See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

The service itself

We provide this service as-is, for free. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. If something breaks, we'll try to fix it. We're not liable for any damages from using the service — it's a free link shortener, not a medical device.

We can say goodbye

We can terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account whenever you want. If we ever shut down the service, we'll give you notice and a way to export your data.

Open source

The code is open source. If you don't trust our hosting, you can always run your own instance. The source code is on GitHub.

Changes

If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here. Nothing sneaky.
